Born: Fort
Belvoir, Virginia
Musical Experience:
Started banging on every irritating thing he could find in the
house. Finally, after months of torture, Mom and Pops got him his
first actual drum set. He joined his first soul band at the age
of twelve. After gaining experience in every kind of music ranging
from experimental jazz to country and western, B-9 finally wound
up in Austin at the recycling plant crushing cans with a paper plate.
We found him under the I-35 bridge banging on milk jugs. The beat
was so righteous we hired him on the spot.
Favorite Album:
Pink Floyd, Animals, because snorting pigs can be truly inspirational
when you back it up with the right instruments.
Greatest Musical
Moment: When I joined Funky Old Soul. From the first note of
the first rehearsal, I knew we had something special.
Reason To Come
to A Funky Old Soul Gig: How long has it been since you had a
heaping of Funky Old Soul brand chili. Well, that's too long!
